West Marin is home to several small, unincorporated communities, each with their own unique strengths and character. Yet, their geographic spread and lack of municipal infrastructure create the need for greater coordination of services.

The Collaborative Impact Project was developed in an effort to bridge the service gaps that exist here. By building the strength and capacity of local nonprofit and community partners, the initiative helps partners to collaborate more effectively so they can better serve our region. It strengthens their ability to address challenges, build connections, track progress, and deliver meaningful outcomes.

The Collaborative Impact Project is anchored by the West Marin Collaborative which serves as a central hub for coordinating efforts across issue areas and across the region. Community members contribute information about local events and resources to the West Marin Collaborative and take an active role in reviewing and selecting grant proposals to ensure a fully participatory and community-driven process.

Capacity Building

Building Organizational Strength for Success

Technical assistance is a cornerstone of the Collective Impact Project and is provided to grantee organizations to boost the success of their collaboration efforts.

Organizations receive technical assistance from qualified and experienced staff at every point in the process of implementing to reduce barriers to participation and strengthen outcomes. Collaboration for Impact

The West Marin Collaborative

The West Marin Collaborative is the central hub for coordinating the activities and resources shared by nonprofit and community partners. Through its monthly convenings, people and organizations serving West Marin can learn what others are doing, support each other, and collaborate to increase the effectiveness of their work. Through a partnership with the West Marin Commons, organizations can share information and events that are of interest to the people of West Marin and beyond.
